We believe that Natural Gas Vehicles (NGVs) are cleaner, cheaper, and a lot more fun to drive than gasoline-fueled vehicles.

To demonstrate it, we're driving a natural gas-powered Hummer H3T from coast to coast. And you can follow along on this web site!

We're also making the Los Angeles-to-New York City trip to show that there are already compressed natural gas refueling stations in place to make such a trip. You can't do that with an all-electric-powered car! Cities we'll be visiting are: Palm Springs; Phoenix, Tucson, Las Cruces, Midland, Fort Worth, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Kansas City, St. Louis, Indianapolis, Columbus, Pittsburgh, Washington DC and then to New York City.

Our tour begins on April 28th from Santa Monica, and wraps up in New York City on May 11th. Look for us as we travel along and say hello! And follow our adventures in our daily blog. Go Natural Gas!

Along the way, we'll be stopping at junior high schools to make a contribution to science-oriented programs. The intention is to emphasize that the growing natural gas revolution is the result of American ingenuity and know-how. American scientific research is teaming with American entrepreneurs to fuel our energy independence with this All-American resource: natural gas.

Our Hummer is EPA certified to have fewer emissions than a Smart Car. We chose a Hummer for the trip because many people consider such large vehicles to be a major part of the problem. But what if your work or lifestyle calls for such a vehicle? Our clean-running, inexpensive-to-operate Hummer illustrates that it's not the vehicle that's the problem, it's the fuel. The solution? Natural gas.
